Ambato Soldiers sign Clenia Noblet

Clenia Noblet

Ambato Soldiers (Liga Femenina) have signed 37-year-old Cuban ex-international center Clenia Noblet (190cm-1987). She is the second foreign player in the roster, with Lyndra Weaver from the USA already signed. Noblet comes from Quetzales in the Mexican LMBPF, where she had impressive stats in 22 games: 21.4ppg, 12.6rpg, 2.0apg, and 1.6spg. She was also named League Player of the Week three times.
She represented Cuba at the Olympic Games Additional Qualifying Round in Nantes (France) eight years ago. Her stats at that event were 4 games: 7.3ppg, 8.5rpg, FGP: 35.7%, 3PT: 16.7%.
She is a very experienced player. She has also played professionally in Brazil (Maranhao), Colombia (Hormigas Indersantander LBS), Italy (Battipaglia), Cuba (Guantanamo and Orientales), and Nicaragua (Tipitapa).
Her team reached the Nicaraguan League Semifinals in 2021. She was named Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LMBPF Center of the Year in 2023. She is nearing retirement age as a player and may finish her career at Ambato Soldiers.
