M.Tel-Aviv keeps Rivero for another season

Jasiel Rivero

Defending champion Maccabi Playtika Tel-Aviv (Winner League) re-signed 30-year old Cuban international 206cm power forward Jasiel Rivero, agency: Pro Sports for new season. He played there last season. In 26 Winner League games he averaged 11.3ppg and 5.6rpg. He helped them to win the league title and they also made it to the Cup final. Rivero can count that season as a very successful as was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League Honorable Mention. He also played 40 games in Euroleague where he had 7.6ppg and 3.1rpg. Rivero contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals. For two previous seasons (2021-23) he played at Valencia (Liga Endesa) in Spanish league.
He also represented Cuba at the Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador (El Salvador) last year.
Rivero is a very experienced player. He has played professionally in Argentina (Boca and Estudiantes Concordia), Spain (Riveroreda San Pablo Burgos), Uruguay (Tabare), and Cuba (Capitalinos).
Among many awards, he was selected as the Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian La Liga Center of the Year in 2019.
