US Virgin Islands edged Cuba for the CentroBasket 5th place. They posted an 80-75 win to close the campaign. Virgin Islands started string and reached 27-15 lead at the end of the first quarter. They managed to keep the advantage for good to seal the win.
Anisha George (188-C-1998, college: N.Texas) stepped up with 19 points, Imani Tate (175-G/F-1995, college: Albany) collected 14 points and 10 rebounds, whilst Keshara Romain (175-F-2000) scored 13. Maria Montero (176-G/F-1998) replied with 16 points in the losing effort.
