De Leon is back at San Lazaro- May 31, 2021
De Leon represented Dominican Republic at the Panamerican Games in Lima (Peru) two years ago. His team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 5 games: 7.0ppg, 1.8apg, 1.2spg, FGP: 37.5%, 3PT: 25.0%, FT: 61.5%. De Leon is quite experienced player. He has played in seven different countries on four different continents (Europe, Latin America, Australia and of course North America). De Leon has played previously professionally in Australia (Adelaide 36ers and Illawarra Hawks), Canada, Poland (Spojnia and MKS DG), Puerto Rico (Vaqueros and Manati), Spain, Dominican Republic (Metros de Santiago, La Mattica, La Villa and Indios de San Francisco) and Colombia (Bucaros). The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others De Leon played in the final of Dominican Republic LNB in 2016 and 2019. He was also also voted Latinbasket.com All-Colombian LPB Player of the Year and Latinbasket.com All-Colombian LPB Import Player of the Year in 2020. He is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible he may end his playing career at San Lazaro. De Leon attended Eastern Washington University until 2009 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season as a professional player.
