Dominican Rep. LDC round 4 best performance: Angel Rivas

Forward Angel Rivas (198-F-93) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Immortals, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out Santiago Fenix (#2, 2-1) 102-99. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Immortals to consolidate first place in the Dominican Rep. LDC. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Immortals already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. Rivas just recently signed at Immortals, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Angel Rivas has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 10.0rpg), assists (9th best: 3.3apg) and averages impressive 2.0bpg and 51.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 39-year old Adris Rodriguez (202-C/F-82) of Capitanes. Rodriguez had a very good evening with a triple-double of 11 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists. Of course he led Capitanes to another comfortable win outscoring Los Pepines (#6, 0-3) 112-89. Capitanes' 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 1-2 record. Rodriguez is one of the most experienced players at Capitanes and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Capitanes' star - guard Victor Liz (193-SG-86). Liz got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He was another key player of Capitanes, helping his team with a 112-89 easy win against Los Pepines (#6, 0-3). The chances of Capitanes not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Liz could try to bring Capitanes' a little bit higher in the standings. Liz has individually a great season in Dominican Republic. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 35.0ppg (best scorer).
