There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Los Rieles (0-7) were edged on the road by leader Santiago Max (0-0) 80-78 on Thursday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a great evening for forward Franklyn Martinez (197-1997) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Guatemalan forward Yormi Almonte (197-2002) helped adding 15 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side swingman Luiyi Rojas (188-1999) responded with 20 points and Miguel Pena scored 15 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. Despite that victory Santiago Max went down to first position due to points difference. Los Rieles lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost.
