With a 17-0 third quarter run, that allowed them to overcome a 12 point deficit, Los Prados de Santo Domingo defeated Leneros de Los Mina 69-66 and swept the District National Finals.  Los Prados de Santo Domingo last championship was in 1994, when they defeated San Carlos in seven games.
For Los Prados de Santo Domingo, Andy Williams (195-G/F-80) 22 points, 5-8 3P, and was elected the Finals MVP, Oskaris Lenderborg (189-G/F-72) had 16 points, Eddie Elisma (205-F/C-75, agency: Larry Fox Services, college: Georgia Tech) 15 points, Jose Fortuna (180-G-84) 11 points.
For Leneros de Los Mina, Juan Bautista Araujo 22 points, Edward Santana (203-F-80) 18 points and 18 rebounds, Gregory Beltran (193-G-82) 12 points.

Rich Melzer (203-F-79, college: Wisc.-River Falls), San Carlos, was elected unanimously as the MVP of the National District Tournament.
Tony Disla , San Carlos, was elected Coach of the Year, Kerwin Ramirez, Villa Duarte de Calero, was the Rookie of the Year, Robert Tejada, Comeback Player of the Year and Roberto Arno was the choice for Best Sixth Man.
Rich Melzer (203-F-79, college: Wisc.-River Falls), San Carlos, William Gomez (198-F/G-84), Villa Duarte de Calero, 7.5 rebounds and 14.8 ppg average, Hansen Salvador (-G), Villa Duarte de Calero, Otto Vantroy (180-G-75) and Manuel Guzman (-F-82) were selected to the All Star Team.
