Club Domingo Paulino wins 2012 SRT title - May 11, 2012
SRT Finals, Game 6: Club Domingo Paulino (CDP) - Plaza Valerio 87-82 (4-2)
Club Domingo Paulino is the new SRT champion. They handed 87-82 loss to Plaza Valerio on Tuesday winning the Finals with 4-2 (best-of-seven). This is the sixth SRT title for the club. They won it also in 1992, 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2010. Westher Molteni (200-F-87) led CDP with double-double of 17 points and 16 rebounds. Jose Fortuna (180-G-84) (6 as) and Juan Coronado (196-G-83) added 16 and 15 points respectively, while Johnny Garcia (206-F/C-87, college: Seton Hall) helped with one less. In the loosing squad, Edward Santana (203-F-80, agency: Regeneracom Sports) was better that the others with 21 points. Andres Sandoval (192-G-83) had 20 and Tyrone Thomas scored 13 points. CDP shined in the last ten minutes to grab this victory. They made 26-18 in Q4 and won the sixth SRT title in the clubs history.
