METROS CROWNED LIDOBA CHAMPIONS! - Sep. 30, 2006
Metros were crowned LIDOBA CHAMPIONS last night with a brilliant 87-83
overtime victory in game 7.
Joel Ramirez (191-G-81) hit a 3 point basket with :24 seconds
remaining in overtime to seal the victory for Metros.
Carmelo Lee (200-F-77, agency:
Paris Global Sports, college:
Long Beach St.) was selected MVP of the LIDOBA Finals series.
Kevin Braswell (188-G-79, agency:
Priority Sports, college:
Georgetown) (188-G-79, agency:
Priority Sports, college:
Georgetown) was the key to the Metros attack leading the way with 24
points.
Charlie Rodriguez (202-F/C-78) added 19 points and 8 rebounds while
Carmelo Lee (200-F-77, agency:
Paris Global Sports, college:
Long Beach St.) added 12 points.
San Cristobal was not able to benefit form
Franklin Western (200-F-72, college:
Providence) 28 points, 19 in the second half alone.
Julius Nwosu (207-C-71, college:
Liberty) also had a MONSTER GAME with 21 points and 14
rebounds...but it was not enough to carry San Cristobal who had the
series lead by 2 games to the LIDOBA title.
