There are only two more rounds left in the Second Stage in Santiago League. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Santiago League round 4 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader GUG (2-2) against fourth ranked Cupes (2-2) 106-101 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of GUG. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Cupes made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Juan-Miguel Suero (198-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 4 assists. point guard Jaison Valdez (188-95) contributed with 38 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Forward Juan Guerrero (201-93) replied with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds for GUG. Cupes moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated GUG. GUG will play next round against strong Plaza trying to make it back to the top of the standings. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santiago - Plaza. Cupes will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Sameji. It will be extra interesting game as Sameji is their local rival from Santiago.

Worth to mention a great performance of American center Ivan Johnson (203-84, college: CS San Bernar., agency: Haylett Sports) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Lenin Rodriguez who added 19 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Glen Rice Jr. (198-91, college: Georgia Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Sameji keeps a position of league leader. Plaza at the other side dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. Sameji's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santiago Cupes.

Important game to mention about was the one when second ranked Sameji (3-1) saved a 1-point derby victory edging 3rd ranked Plaza (1-3) 96-95 on Wednesday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Ivan Johnson (203-84, college: CS San Bernar., agency: Haylett Sports) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Lenin Rodriguez who added 19 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Glen Rice Jr. (198-91, college: Georgia Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and naturalized Spanish center Jhonatan Araujo (208-96) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. Sameji's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santiago Cupes.
