Tony Mitchell (ex Soles) joins Al-Muharraq

Al-Muharraq (Premier League) agreed terms with 33-year old American swingman Tony Mitchell (198cm-98kg-1989, college: Alabama). Mitchell played this summer at Soles in LNB league in Dominican Republic. In four games just recently he had 10.5ppg, 6.5rpg and 2.5apg. The last season he played at TB Herobears in Taiwanese T1 League where in 16 games he recorded very impressive stats: 18.9ppg, 6.3rpg, 4.3apg, 1.4spg and 1.2bpg.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2015.
Mitchell is quite experienced player. Mitchell's career allowed him to visit six different continents, while he played in fourteen different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia, Africa and of course North America. Mitchell has played previously professionally in Argentina (Penarol), Australia (Cairns Taipans), China (Hebei and Chongqing), Israel (Hapoel Eilat), Italy (Cantu, Pistoia, Sassari and Trento), Morocco (AS Sale), Philippines, Puerto Rico (Cariduros and Indios), Russia (Krasny Oktyabr), Spain (Estudiantes), Uruguay (Aguada), Venezuela (Trotamundos), NBA (Miami Heat) and NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce and Fort Wayne Mad Ants). His team made it to the Dominican Republic LNB Semifinals in 2022.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Latinbasket.com Puerto Rican BSN All-Imports Team back in 2017.
He graduated from University of Alabama in 2012 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player.
