Ashley Hagans
American Guard Ashley Hagans (170-G) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Santiago, receiving a Hoops Agents TSF Player of the Week award for round 1.
The player was the main contributor (27 points, five rebounds and two assists) to her team's victory, helping them to beat Dragons (#3, 2-3) 76-71. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Santiago to consolidate first place in the Dominican Rep. TSF. Santiago have a solid 4-1 record. In the team's last game Hagans had a remarkable 63.2% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Santiago, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Ashley Hagans has solid league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 23.8ppg. Hagans is in league's top in assists (4th best: 3.3apg).
The second best player in last round's games was young American Kristina Puthoff-King (180-PG-1992) of Dragons. Puthoff-King had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Dragons lost that game 71-76 to Santiago (4-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Puthoff-King is one of the most experienced players at Dragons and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.3ppg (#7). Her other stats are also decent: 11.0rpg and 9.0apg. Former University of Richmond star Puthoff-King is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.
Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Aaliyah Rice (175-F-1997, agency: Domantay Sports) of league's second-best Leona. Rice showcased her all-around game by recording 18 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the last round. She was a key player of Leona, leading her team to a 75-73 win against #4 ranked Panteras in a game of the week. Leona needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Rice has a great season in Dominican Republic. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.5ppg (9th best), rebounds with 9.8rpg (3rd best) and assists with 2.5apg (6th best). Rice attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on her way to pro basketball.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
