Undefeated Santiago (4-1) recorded its first loss at the home court on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Leona (3-2) 66-62. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Santiago. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The best player for the winners was American guard Kiana Glenn (168-1997, college: Life) who scored 22 points and 4 assists. Odalmis Diaz chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Leona's coach Brandon Hill used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Ashley Hagans (170) produced 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the hosts. Leona moved-up to second place. Santiago at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Leona will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Santiago will play against Dragons and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Ruth Aracena contributed with 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Center Elizabeth Lopez (185-2004) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds for Dragons. Panteras maintains fourth place with 1-4 record. Dragons at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. Panteras will play against league's leader Santiago in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dragons will play against the league's leader Santiago and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Five Panteras and four Dragons players scored in double figures. Panteras maintains fourth place with 1-4 record. Dragons at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. Panteras will play against league's leader Santiago in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
