Undefeated Santiago (4-1) recorded its first loss at the home court on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Leona (3-2) 66-62. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Santiago. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The best player for the winners was American guard Kiana Glenn (168-1997, college: Life) who scored 22 points and 4 assists. Odalmis Diaz chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Leona's coach Brandon Hill used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Ashley Hagans (170) produced 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the hosts.
