Talented Anayelis Garcia (180-F-2002) had a very impressive game in the last round for Panteras and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents TSF Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 20-year old forward had a double-double of 30 points and sixteen rebounds, while her team crushed Dragons (#3, 2-3) with 22-point margin 94-72. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Panteras maintains the 4th position in Dominican Rep. TSF. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 4 games and had just one victory. Garcia just recently signed at Panteras, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Garcia has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 10.0rpg), assists (8th best: 2.2apg) and averages solid 55.1% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young center Elizabeth Lopez (185-C-2004) of Dragons. Lopez impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Dragons lost that game 72-94 to slightly lower-ranked Panteras (#4, 1-4). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Dragons still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-3 record. Lopez is one of the most experienced players at Dragons and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was another Panteras' star - Ruth Aracena (F). Aracena scored 22 points and grabbed ten rebounds. She was another key player of Panteras, helping her team with a 94-72 easy win against #3 ranked Dragons. Panteras can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-4 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Aracena has individually a great season in Dominican Republic. After only 5 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.0rpg (7th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
