TSF Round 7: Santiago beats Dragons by two after a very close game

The most exciting game of round 7 in the TSF took place in . This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Dragons (3-4) to first ranked Santiago (6-2) 78-76 on Saturday evening. 24 personal fouls committed by Dragons helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Ashley Hagans (170) who helped to win the game recording 31 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Maria Coronado (173-1991) contributed with 22 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winners. American point guard Kristina Puthoff-King (180-1992, college: Richmond) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists for Dragons. Dragons' coach Guillermo Reyes tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Santiago maintains first place with 6-2 record. Dragons at the other side keep the third position with four games lost. Santiago are looking forward to face league's second-placed Leona in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dragons will play against Panteras and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

At the losing side guard Eduarny Polanco responded with 19 points. Panteras maintains fourth place with 2-5 record. Leona at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Panteras will play against higher ranked Dragons (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Leona will play against the league's leader Santiago and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
