Dragons - Panteras 61-89 Very important is a home loss of second ranked Dragons (6-5) against fourth ranked Panteras (4-7) on Monday night. Host Dragons were crushed by Panteras in 89-61. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Dragons. Americans were the main players on the court. It was an exceptional evening for guard Brittany Carter (183-1993, college: Illinois) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Takisha Jordan (170-1994, college: Tenn Tech) accounted for 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four Panteras players scored in double figures. Point guard Kristina Puthoff-King (180-1992, college: Richmond) came up with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and point guard Taylor Brown (170-1993, college: GMU) added 17 points respectively for Dragons in the defeat. Panteras maintains fourth place with 4-7 record. Dragons at the other side keep the second position with five games lost. Panteras will play against league's leader Santiago in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dragons will play against Leona and it may be a tough game between close rivals. Santiago managed to secure only one-point victory 84-83. However their fans expected easier game. It was a great evening for American Marquisha Harris (180-1993, college: W.Michigan) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 20 rebounds. Forward Dariana Santos (180-1991, college: Wiley) helped adding 25 points and 6 rebounds. Harris is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. American swingman Allie Taylor (180-1994, college: Plattsburgh St.) responded with 27 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Aaliyah Rice (175-1997, college: Montevallo, agency: Domantay Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Five Santiago and four Leona players scored in double figures. Santiago maintains first place with 8-4 record. Leona at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. Santiago are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Panteras (#4) in the next round. Leona will play against the league's second-placed Dragons and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
