The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Santiago (9-5) at the home court on Monday night. Hosts were edged by second ranked Dragons (8-5) 81-80. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Santiago. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Dragons looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Kristina Puthoff-King (180-1992, college: Richmond) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Her fellow American import point guard Toynetta Johnson (172-1992, college: UWF) contributed with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 7 steals for the winners. Dragons' coach Guillermo Reyes used entire bench in such tough game. Guard Maria Coronado (173-1991) answered with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for Santiago. Dragons maintains second place with 8-5 record behind leader Santiago. Santiago at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost.

At the losing side American guard Brittany Carter (183-1993, college: Illinois) responded with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Anayelis Garcia (180-2002) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Four Leona and five Panteras players scored in double figures. Leona maintains third place with 5-7 record having six points less than leader Santiago. Panteras at the other side stay at the bottom position with nine games lost.
