Fenix inks Maria Coronado for 2023 United Cup

Maria Coronado

Equipo Femenino Fenix (United Cup) signed 32-year old guard Maria Coronado (173cm-1991) for upcoming 2023-24 season. Coronado played this summer at Santiago in the TSF. In 12 games just recently she was league's fourth best scorer with impressive 19.3ppg and averaged 6.4rpg, 6.9apg (top 2) and 3.6spg (in top 2). United Cup will be definitely a better match and she can see more playing time. She helped them to win the TSF title. 2023-23 was a great season as she was voted Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Republic TSF Domestic Player of the Year, Finals MVP and Guard of the Year.

Coronado has played previously for three other teams: Plaza, Santiago Basket and Hidalgas.
