Cesarina Capellan signs at Unicaja

Cesarina Capellan

Unicaja Malaga (LF Challenge) signed 21-year-old Dominican Rep. 178cm small forward Cesarina Capellan for the upcoming season. She played for Baloncesto Femenino Leon in the LF2 for the last three years. In 30 games, she was the league's second-best scorer with an impressive 17.3ppg and recorded 7.5rpg, 1.3apg, and 3.4spg (leader!!!) last season. Capellan helped her team reach the Spanish LF2 Playoffs final, making it a very successful season in her career. She was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LF2 Forward of the Year, League Player of the Week, and voted to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LF2 First Team.
Capellan represented the Dominican Republic at the Central American and Caribbean Games for Women in San Salvador, El Salvador, last year.
