GIE Cibao Immortals (LDC) signed 25-year-old 203cm power forward Francisco Alvarez. It marks his return to Santiago, where he previously played for the Immortals in the 2023 United Cup of Champion. Alvarez most recently played for Cambelen in the Higuey League and the Sharks (LBL) in the Peruvian league. He also had a stint with Club de Baloncesto Cojute in the Salvadorean Liga MB, where he put up impressive stats averaging 13.0ppg, 14.1rpg, 1.3apg, 1.3spg, and 2.9bpg in 8 games. He was recognized as the League Player of the Week during his time there.

Alvarez has also played in Nicaragua (UNI Basket).

Among many awards, he was selected to Latinbasket.com All-Nicaraguan LSB Honorable Mention in 2024.
