Wilbert Carmona claims Dominican Rep. LDC weekly honour

Wilbert Carmona (197-F/G-2000) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader La Cancha and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 25-year old swingman had a double-double of 30 points and 12 rebounds, while his team edged out Los Leneros (#2, 0-8), the league's bottom-ranked team 81-80. It allowed La Cancha to consolidate first place in the Dominican Rep. LDC. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is already in a full swing and La Cancha still have not lost a single game, getting all 8 victories. Carmona just recently signed at La Cancha, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Wilbert Carmona averages this season 21.0ppg and 6.0rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Franklyn Martinez (197-F-1997) of league's best team Santiago Max. Martinez impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for Santiago Max to edge Los Rieles (#6, 0-8) by 2 points 80-78.
