Cocodrilos de Caracas (SPB) drafted 25-year-old Dominican Rep. swingman Luis Martinez, who previously played for Centauros, so that he can help them in the upcoming SPB 2026 playoffs. During his recent 11 games in Venezuela, he averaged 20.3ppg, 5.3rpg, 2.8apg, and 1.2spg last season, earning him the title of League Player of the Week. Martinez also played for Cupes de los Pepines in the Santiago League in the Dominican Republic.
He has also played in Chile (Los Leones), Colombia (Piratas), and the Dominican Republic (Soles).
Among many awards, his team was the regular season runner-up in the Dominican Republic Santiago League in 2025. Martinez was also selected as the Rookie of the Year in the Dominican Republic League in 2024.
