Bayamon tabs Jassel Perez

Defending champion Vaqueros de Bayamon (BSN) signed 24-year-old Dominican Republic 195cm swingman Jassel Perez. He last played at Coviran Granada in Spanish Liga Endesa. In 23 games, he averaged 11.3ppg, 3.8rpg, 1.8apg, and 1.7spg last season.
In 2022, Mexico City Capitanes selected him as the second overall pick in the G-League draft.
He is a very experienced player. Perez has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously in Colombia (Cafeteros), Dominican Republic (CDP Domingo Paulino Santiago, CPN Pueblo Nuevo, Titanes, Pueblo Nuevo and Million), Venezuela (Spartans), Nicaragua (Real Esteli) and NBA G League (Capitanes de Ciudad de Mexico).
Among many awards, he won the Dominican Republic Santiago League championship title in 2024. Perez received the Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Republic League Player of the Year award and the Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Republic League Defensive Player of the Year award in 2025.
