Aguilas de Guachupita cemented their place as the dominant force in Dominican women's club basketball, sweeping San Carlos 3-0 in the final of the XII Torneo Nacional de Baloncesto Superior Interclubes Femenino to capture a third straight national title.
The champions closed out the best-of-five series with a 72-67 win in Game 3 on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Renacer polideportivo in their home sector of Guachupita, where they hoisted the Copa Seaboard. Mary Coronado led the clincher with 18 points and seven rebounds and was named Finals MVP, while Jennifer Jimenez added 13 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Katherine Constanza chipped in nine, Luzmaury Rodriguez eight and Sugey Monsac seven points with 10 rebounds. The Aguilas had set the tone by taking the opener 75-67 and never trailing in the series.
The triumph completed a remarkable trilogy. Having also won in 2023 and 2024, the Guachupita side, coached by Edwin Amilcar Gonzalez (who led the 2024 and 2025 titles after Dagoberto Montas began the run in 2023), posted a combined 47-3 record across regular seasons, semifinals and finals over the three championship campaigns. San Carlos, who had reached the final by sweeping the Elites de Yamasa in the semifinals, were left as runners-up, though their Dioribel Rodriguez earned regular-season MVP honors.
