Malachi Richardson claims Dominican Rep. LNB Hoops Agents weekly honour

American Malachi Richardson (197-G-1996) put on an amazing game in the last round for Reales de La Vega and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2 (Second Stage).
The 29-year old guard had the game-high 35 points adding four rebounds and two assists for Reales in his team's victory, helping them to beat Titanes (#6, 8-11) 89-83. Reales maintains the 4th position in Dominican Rep. LNB. Reales is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 10th lost game this season out of 20 games. In the team's last game Richardson had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Reales, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Syracuse University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Richardson is in league's top in points (5th best: 19.6ppg) and averages solid 50.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young power forward Luismal Ferreiras (200-PF-2003) of league's best team Indios de San Francisco. Ferreiras impressed basketball fans with 25 points and 7 rebounds. Of course he led Indios to another comfortable win outscoring Heroes (10-10) 123-90. The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Ferreiras is one of the most experienced players at Indios and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.1ppg (#6). He also registered 11.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Marvin Smith (198-F-1995) of Caneros Del Este (#3). Smith got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds . He was a key player of Caneros, leading his team to a 112-110 win against #2 ranked Metros in a game of the week. Caneros needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 9 lost games. Smith has a very solid season.
