American Guard Malachi Richardson (197-G-1996) had a great game in the last round for Reales de La Vega, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4 (Second Stage).
The 29-year old player tried to help (29 points, nine rebounds and two assists) his team in a lost game to Metros (#2, 15-5) 78-82. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Reales maintains the 4th position in Dominican Rep. LNB. Reales is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 11th lost game this season out of 21 games. In the team's last game Richardson had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He just recently signed at Reales, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Syracuse University star has very solid stats this year. Richardson is in league's top in points (4th best: 20.0ppg) and averages impressive 51.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Richard Bautista (185-PG-1997) of Titanes del Distrito Nacional. Bautista had a very good evening with a double-double of 11 points and 10 assists. Of course he led Titanes to another comfortable win 91-77 over slightly higher-ranked Heroes (#5, 10-11) being unquestionably team leader. Titanes' 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-11 record. Bautista is one of the most experienced players at Titanes and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Luismal Ferreiras (200-PF-2003) of league's top team Indios de San Francisco. Ferreiras scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Indios, leading his team to a 101-97 win against #3 ranked Caneros in a game of the week. Indios confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 16 victories and 5 lost games. Ferreiras has a great season in Dominican Republic. After 21 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.0ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 11.0rpg (2nd best).
