Dominican Rep. LNB round 7 (Second Stage) best performance: Myke Henry (by Hoops Agents)

American Forward Myke Henry (198-F-1992) put on an amazing game in the last round for Heroes de Moca, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7 (Second Stage).
The 33-year old player was the main contributor (27 points, seven rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Metros (#1, 17-6) 97-96. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Heroes maintains the 3rd position in Dominican Rep. LNB. Heroes is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 11th lost game this season out of 24 games. Henry just recently signed at Heroes and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Myke Henry averages just after two games 23.5ppg, 6.5rpg and 5.5apg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Luis Montero (203-SF-1993) of Titanes del Distrito Nacional. Montero had a very good evening with a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led Titanes to another comfortable win 95-80 over the higher-ranked Gigantes (#2, 16-8) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Titanes to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-12 record. Montero is one of the most experienced players at Titanes and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Sterling Manley (213-F/C-1998) of league's top team Metros de Santiago. Manley scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). Despite Manley's great performance the Metros lost 96-97 to #3 ranked Heroes. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Metros needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 17 victories and 6 lost games. Manley has a very solid season. In 6 games in Dominican Republic he scored 10.7ppg. He also has 7.3rpg and a FGP of 64.1%.

10. Kevin Obanor (203-F-1999) of Heroes - 12 points and 12 rebounds
