J.Guzman adds Hassan to their roster, ex Caimanes

Jorge Guzman CD (Liga Basquet Pro) added experienced 36-year old American power forward Rashad Hassan (203cm-98kg-1989, college: SSU) to their roster. He played this summer at Caimanes in Colombian LBP league. In 10 games, he recorded impressive stats: 19.2ppg, 7.3rpg, and 1.2apg. He was voted Latinbasket.com All-Colombian LPB Apertura Center of the Year, selected to All-Imports Team, and voted to Latinbasket.com All-Colombian LPB Apertura First Team. Last season, he played at Atletico Welcome Montevideo (LUB) in Uruguayan league.
He is quite an experienced player. Thanks to Hassan's pro career, he managed to play on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia, and North America) in ten different countries. Hassan has played professionally in Australia (Rockets and Bandits), Chile (Las Animas and CD Espanol Osorno), France (Rueil), Iraq (Zakho), Luxembourg (Sparta), Paraguay (San Jose), Saudi Arabia (Al Ahli and Al Nasr), United Kingdom (Lions, Leicester Riders, Plymouth Patriots, and Scorchers), and Uruguay. His team was the regular season runner-up in the Chilean League Apertura Conferencia Sur in 2026. He is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible he may end his playing career at J.Guzman.
He graduated from Savannah State University in 2013 and this will be his 15th season as a professional player.
