Antoinette Thompson (ex SBS Ostrava) agreed terms with Leones

ANTOINETTE THOMPSON

Leones de Riobamba (Liga Femenina) strengthened their roster with addition of 27-year old American guard Antoinette Thompson (170-90, college: TCU). She played most recently at played at SBS Ostrava in ZBL league in Czech Republic, but left the team in Dec.'17. In 9 ZBL games she recorded very impressive stats: 16.1ppg, 5.1rpg, 2.8apg and 2.7spg this season. Thompson also played 3 games in CEWL where she averaged 13.7ppg, 5.7rpg, 4.3apg and 1.7spg. The last summer she played at another team Lightning in. Thompson helped them to win the WMLBA title. Great season indeed as she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Swedish Damligan Honorable Mention.
She has played also professionally in Romania (CSM Targoviste, Timisoara and Targu Mures), WBCBL (Dallas Diesel) and Sweden (IK Eos).
Worth to mention Thompson played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped her to get the job in pro basketball.
She attended Texas Christian University until 2012 and it will be her sixth season in pro basketball.
