Leader Iccan delivered the ninth win on Tuesday night. This time they beat 8th ranked Leones (2-8) 80-66 in Guayaquil. Iccan dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Leones' 26. They outrebounded Leones 38-21 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Iccan looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Leones' players. The best player for the winners was Colombian-Venezuelan swingman Cesar Silva (190-81) who had a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists. Venezuelan guard Jesus Centeno (190-85) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Canadian point guard Alex Johnson (178-88, college: Z*Orangeville A's) produced 28 points and 4 assists for the guests. Leones' coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Iccan (9-1) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place. Leones at the other side keep the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with ABC. Iccan are looking forward to face ABC (#9) in Santo Domingo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Leones will play at home against Juvenil and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.

Cuban swingman Marvin Cairo (201-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Jhon Romero contributed with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American Lenny Daniel (203-87, college: CS Northridge) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds for Punto Rojo. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Piratas. They maintain second place with 8-2 record behind leader Iccan, which they share with Barcelona. Punto Rojo lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with five games lost. Piratas will play against Guerreros (#5) in Santo Domingo in the next round. Punto Rojo will play at home against Barcelona and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Vinces was also quite interesting. 4th placed Guerreros (6-4) played at the court of fifth ranked Juvenil (6-4). Juvenil did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 91-73 on Tuesday. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for Paul Marigney who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Deilvez Yearby responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds. Juvenil moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Guerreros. Juvenil will meet Leones (#8) in the next round. Guerreros will play against the league's second-placed Piratas (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
In the last two games of round 11 bottom-ranked Triple E-Uda were defeated by ABC in Santo Domingo 61-51. Barcelona beat Portoviejo at home 75-67.
ABC - Triple E-Uda 61-51
Everything could happen in Santo Domingo at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked ABC and 10th ranked Triple E-Uda had identical 1-8 record. This time ABC used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Gualaceo 61-51 on Tuesday night. ABC forced 21 Triple E-Uda turnovers. It was a great evening for South Sudanese center Ajak Magot (211-92, college: Idaho St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international swingman Erick Cobena (194-96) helped adding 13 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Malik Jenkins (201-89) responded with 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Venezuelan power forward Jean Pierre (205-91) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. ABC (2-8) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Leones. Loser Triple E-Uda stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. ABC will meet league's leader Iccan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Triple E-Uda will play against Portoviejo (#7) in Portviejo and hope to win that game.

It was a great evening for American John Shodipo (196-88, college: DuPage JC) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. The former international center Carlos Carcelen (202-81) helped adding 19 points and 7 rebounds. Shodipo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American power forward Zach Reynolds (206-90, college: N.Arizona) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import point guard Jordan Johnson (183-92, college: Tenn Tech) scored 20 points. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Barcelona. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Piratas. Portoviejo lost their fifth game in a row.
