Experienced American Paul Marigney (191-G-82) had an amazing evening in the last round for Juvenil and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 36-year old guard had a double-double of 37 points and eleven rebounds, while his team crushed Guerreros (6-4) with 18-point margin 91-73. Juvenil is placed at 4th position in Ecuadorian National League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Juvenil will need more victories to improve their 6-4 record. In the team's last game Marigney had a remarkable seven three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Juvenil's top player in his first season with the team. Saint Mary's College of California graduate has very impressive stats this year. Marigney is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.3ppg), rebounds (8th best: 8.7rpg) and assists (7th best: 3.4apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 31-year old American power forward Lenny Daniel (203-PF-87) of Punto Rojo. Daniel impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Punto Rojo lost that game 69-79 to the higher-ranked Piratas (#2, 8-2). Punto Rojo managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 5-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Daniel is a newcomer at Punto Rojo and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Venezuelan Jesus Centeno (190-G-85) of top-ranked Iccan. Centeno showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, six rebounds and seven assists in the last round. He was a key player of Iccan, leading his team to a 80-66 easy win against the lower-ranked Leones (#8, 2-8). Many experts and fans count Iccan as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 9 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Centeno has a great season in Ecuador. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.0apg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Logan Hovey (200-F-94) of Juvenil - 23 points and 6 rebounds
5. Alex Johnson (178-PG-88) of Leones - 28 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
6. John Shodipo (196-SF-88) of Barcelona - 24 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Darol Hernandez (206-F-89) of Iccan - 24 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Marvin Cairo (201-G/F-91) of Piratas - 25 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Carlos Carcelen (202-C-81) of Barcelona - 19 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Cesar Silva (190-G/F-81) of Iccan - 13 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists
