Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Sixth-ranked Punto Rojo (5-7) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Barcelona (10-2) on Friday. The visitors from Guayaquil managed to secure only three-point victory 82-79. However their fans expected much easier game. Barcelona forced 20 Punto Rojo turnovers. It was a good game for the former international Raul Cardenas (190-82, college: Faulkner) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. The former international center Carlos Carcelen (202-81) contributed with 25 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American Lenny Daniel (203-87, college: CS Northridge) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for Punto Rojo. Barcelona have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 10-2 record behind leader Iccan. Punto Rojo lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Portoviejo. Barcelona are looking forward to face Guerreros (#5) in Santo Domingo in the next round. Punto Rojo will play on the road against Triple E-Uda in Gualaceo and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Piratas (9-3) against fifth ranked Guerreros (7-5) on Friday night. Visiting Piratas were defeated by Guerreros in Santo Domingo 84-74. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Nicholas Evans (210-88, college: S.Indiana) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) and Deilvez Yearby who added 22 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Willie Readus (201-92, college: Delta St., agency: DTMones) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Iccan's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 32 points and 7 rebounds by Yasmany Fundora did not help to save the game for ABC. Iccan have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 11-1 record. Loser ABC keeps the ninth place with ten games lost. Iccan will meet Juvenil (#4) in the next round. ABC will play against Portoviejo (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
