DEILVEZ YEARBY

Experienced American Deilvez Yearby (200-G/F-87) had a great game in the last round for Guerreros and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 31-year old swingman had a double-double of 42 points and sixteen rebounds, while his team outclassed Triple E-Uda (#10, 1-13) with 43-point margin 114-71. Guerreros maintains the 5th position in Ecuadorian National League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Guerreros will need more victories to improve their 9-5 record. In the team's last game Yearby had a remarkable 76.2% from 2-point range. He turned to be Guerreros' top player in his first season with the team. Purdue University Fort Wayne graduate has very impressive stats this year. Yearby is league's best scorer averaging so far 26.8ppg. Yearby is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 11.3rpg) and averages solid 57.1% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 33-year old Venezuelan guard Jesus Centeno (190-G-85) of league's best team Iccan. Centeno impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 26 points and 12 assists. Of course Iccan cruised to a 83-72 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Piratas (#3, 10-4). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Iccan consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 12 matches. Centeno is a newcomer at Iccan and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Zach Reynolds (206-F/C-90) of Portoviejo (#6). Reynolds showcased his all-around game by recording 12 points, twenty rebounds (!!!) and six assists in the last round. He was a key player of Portoviejo, leading his team to a 84-81 win against slightly lower-ranked Punto Rojo (#7, 6-8). Portoviejo needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 7 lost games. Reynolds has a great season in Ecuador. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.6rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Charlie Shorter (185-G-90) of Guerreros - 19 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists
5. Malik Jenkins (201-F-89) of Triple E-Uda - 26 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Sam Prescott (190-G-90) of Punto Rojo - 25 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Cesar Silva (190-G/F-81) of Iccan - 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Willie Readus (201-F/C-92) of Piratas - 22 points and 6 rebounds
9. Eduard Caicedo (196-C-90) of Punto Rojo - 16 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Jhon Ante (200-C-90) of Guerreros - 13 points and 7 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
