The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute surprises and upsets. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with derby games and favorites losing the games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Guayaquil: Iccan (#1) and Barcelona (#2). Barcelona was defeated at home 75-82 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Iccan made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. It was a good game for Colombian-Venezuelan swingman Cesar Silva (190-81) who led his team to a victory with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Cuban forward Darol Hernandez (206-89) contributed with 19 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Keith Bowman (201-91, college: Menlo, agency: SDJ Sports) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds for Barcelona. Barcelona's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-2 record. Barcelona at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. Iccan are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Triple E-Uda (#10) in Gualaceo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Barcelona will play on the road against Juvenil (#5) in Vinces and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for Piratas (11-4) which hosted in Ibarra 4th placed Juvenil (9-6). Third ranked Piratas managed to get a 14-point victory 71-57. It was a great evening for American power forward Willie Readus (201-92, college: Delta St., agency: DTMones) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. Adriano Barrera helped adding 19 points. The best for the losing side was American guard Paul Marigney (191-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Piratas moved-up to second place. Juvenil at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Piratas will play against ABC (#9) in Santo Domingo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Juvenil will play at home against Barcelona (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game was also surprising road defeat of 4th ranked Juvenil in a game in Riobamba versus Leones (#8) 70-57. It was an exceptional evening for Jamaal Samuel who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. Paul Marigney came up with 19 points and 8 rebounds for Juvenil in the defeat. Juvenil's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Leones maintains eighth place with 4-10 record. Loser Juvenil dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Leones will meet at home higher ranked Portoviejo (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
