Juvenil - Leones 75-71

Juvenil held off Leones to advance into the semifinal stage. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for guard Paul Marigney (191-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Logan Hovey (200-94, college: SW Baptist) helped adding 22 points and 8 rebounds. Hovey is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was center Garret Siler (213-86, college: Augusta) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and Aaron Harper (203-81, college: Mississippi) scored 24 points and 7 rebounds.

Iccan - Portoviejo 94-84

Iccan defeated Portoviejo to reach the Final Four. Iccan outrebounded Portoviejo 35-23 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Venezuelan guard Jesus Centeno (190-85) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90) helped adding 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Iccan players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard Jordan Johnson (183-92, college: Tenn Tech) with 26 points and 8 assists and Venezuelan swingman Emilio Cappare (199-90) scored 24 points and 5 rebounds.

Liga Sorocabana de Basquete (CBC League) strengthened their roster with addition of 19-year old Ecuadorian Bryan Carabali (99). He played in the summer at Juvenil in Ecuadorian National League. GARRET SILER Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor (SBL) signed 32-year old American center Garret Siler (213-127kg-86, college: Augusta). He played last summer at Leones in Ecuadorian National League. In three games he had 15.0ppg and 11.7rpg. KB Trepca Mitrovice (Superliga) added to their roster 27-year old American power forward Zach Reynolds (206-109kg-90, college: N.Arizona). He played last summer at Portoviejo in Ecuadorian National League. In 17 games he had 11.9ppg, 11.9rpg (leader !!!) and 1.3apg. Reynolds also played for Vancouver in U.S. semi-pro league NAPB.
