Lums land Lyndra Weaver, ex Gipuzkoa UPV

LYNDRA WEAVER

Macara Lums Ambato (Liga Femenina) tabbed 31-year old American power forward Lyndra Weaver (185-87, college: Virginia). She moved there from IDK Gipuzkoa Universidad del Pais Vasco in Spanish LFB league where she started the season. In 26 games she was third best scorer with impressive 16.8ppg and recorded 8.5rpg (#3 in the league) and 1.3apg this season. She can count that year as a very successful as was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LFB 3rd Team and League Player of the Week.
In 2009 Weaver was drafted by Connecticut Sun (WNBA) in second round (17th overall).
She attended University of Virginia and it will be her tenth season in pro basketball.
Weaver's team was regular season runner-up in Argentinian Superliga Norte in 2017.
She is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball Weaver experienced life in nine different countries playing on three different continents. She is familiar with European, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Weaver has played previously professionally also in Israel (Maccabi Ramat Gan), Italy (Parma and Vigarano), Latvia, Poland (AZS Gorzow), Puerto Rico (Gigantes), Turkey (Cankaya), Ecuador (Universidad Tecnologica Equinoc. Quito) and Argentina (Berazategui).
