Audaz inks Jacinta Monroe, ex Hainaut

Audaz Octubrino Machala (Liga Femenina) agreed terms with 32-year old American power forward Jacinta Monroe (196cm-74kg-88, college: FSU, agency: Basket Promotion Agency). She joins another USA player Shacobia Barbee who is already in the roster.
Monroe started the season at Hainaut in French LFB league. In 8 games she had 10.6ppg, 6.8rpg and 1.0apg. She also played 1 game in Eurocup where she recorded very impressive stats: 23 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. The last season Monroe played at Nantes Reze (LFB). In 15 games she was league's second best scorer with remarkable 16.4ppg and averaged 9.2rpg (#3 in the league), 1.7apg and 2.3spg (in top 2). 2019-2020 was a great season as she was voted Eurobasket.com All-French LFB Import Player of the Year, Forward of the Year and named to 1st Team.
In 2010 she was drafted by Washington Mystics (WNBA) in first round (6th overall).
The former Florida State University standout is in her twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Monroe is quite experienced player. Her career allowed her to visit four different continents, while she played in eleven different countries. Monroe tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. She has played previously professionally in China (Beijing Great Wall), Latvia, Paraguay (Olimpia and Sol de America Asuncion), Puerto Rico (Atenienses), Russia (Enisey Krasnoyarsk), Spain (Casablanca and Argon Uni Girona), Turkey (Botas, Cankaya and Canik Belediye), WNBA (Seattle Storm), South Korea (S-Birds) and Czech Republic (Nymburk).
She won Paraguayan Metropolitan League Apertura championship title in 2017.
