Daniela Mora (179-C-92) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best Los Andes SM and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Liga Desarrollo Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 28-year old center had a double-double of 18 points and sixteen rebounds, while her team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Santa ES (#8, 0-6) with 19-point margin 77-58. Los Andes SM maintains the 2nd position in Ecuadorian Liga Desarrollo. They are still close to the very top. Los Andes SM would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 5-1 record. Mora just recently signed at Los Andes SM, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Mora has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (4th best: 11.7ppg) and rebounds (7th best: 10.2rpg).
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 30-year old former international power forward Marjorie Caicedo (180-PF-90) of Punto Rojo LR. Caicedo impressed basketball fans with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Punto R. was edged by league's leader (#0, ) 58-56. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Punto R. still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. Her team's 3-3 record is not bad at all. Caicedo is one of the most experienced players at Punto R. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was Nahomi Guzman (178-C/F-01) of Vikingos (#3). Guzman scored 8 points and grabbed seventeen rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Vikingos, leading her team to a 46-43 win against Henko (#7, 0-6). Vikingos needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 2 lost games. Guzman has a great season in Ecuador. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.8rpg (2nd best). She also has 2.3spg and 1.3bpg.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
