Gonzalez's double-double lands her Liga Desarrollo Player of the Week award

14-year old forward Emily Gonzalez (F-06) had an amazing evening in the last round for Viejo W. and receives a Hoops Agents Liga Desarrollo Player of the Week award for round 6.
She had a double-double of 14 points and 20 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Henko (#7, 0-6) with 35-point margin 77-42. Viejo W. is placed at 5th position in Ecuadorian league. Viejo W. is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-4 record. Gonzalez just recently signed at Viejo W., being already a very valuable addition to the team. Emily Gonzalez averages this season 5.2ppg and 7.7rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Doris Lasso (164-G-93) of league's second-best Los Andes SM. She is former international guard in her first season at Los Andes SM. In the last game Lasso recorded impressive 18 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. It was enough for Los Andes SM to edge slightly lower-ranked Punto R. (#4, 3-3) by 6 points 55-49. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Los Andes SM consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. Her team lost just one game this season, while they won 5 matches. Lasso is one of the most experienced players at Los Andes SM and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Samy Bacilio (180-C-03) of league's leader La Perla. Bacilio scored 14 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of La Perla, leading her team to a 82-46 easy win against #3 ranked Vikingos. La Perla started extremely well this year. They recorded 6 victories without losing a single game. Bacilio turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Bacilio has a great season in Ecuador. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.8rpg (#1 in league).
