Experienced Former international Power forward Marjorie Caicedo (180-PF-90) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Punto R. and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Liga Desarrollo Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 30-year old power forward had a double-double of 19 points and sixteen rebounds, while her team beat Vikingos (5-4) 52-40. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Punto R. maintains the 3rd position in Ecuadorian Liga Desarrollo. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Punto R. will need more victories to improve their 5-4 record. In the team's last game Caicedo had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Punto R., being already a very valuable addition to the team. Caicedo has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (4th best: 12.1ppg) and rebounds (4th best: 11.2rpg).
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 18-year old power forward Noelia Moran (PF-02) of league's best team La Perla. Moran impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds. Of course she led La Perla to another comfortable win outscoring Santa ES (#8, 0-9) 82-42. Of course La Perla still keep the league's top spot. She plays for the best team in the league and La Perla managed to win all 9 games keeping a perfect record. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
