Lasso's 17 points and 7 rebounds give her Hoops Agents Liga Desarrollo Player of the Week award

27-year old guard Doris Lasso (164-G-93) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Los Andes SM and receives a Hoops Agents Liga Desarrollo Player of the Week award for round 9.
She had the game-high 17 points adding seven rebounds and four assists for Los Andes SM in her team's victory, helping them to crush Henko (#7, 2-8) with 18-point margin 67-49. Los Andes SM maintains the 2nd position in Ecuadorian league. They are still close to the very top. Los Andes SM would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-2 record. In the team's last game Lasso had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Los Andes SM, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Lasso has impressive league stats. She is league's best passer with 5.6apg. Lasso is in league's top in and averages solid 3.1spg.

Second best performed player last round was Nahomi Guzman (178-C/F-01) of Vikingos. She is a in her first season at Vikingos. In the last game Guzman recorded impressive double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds. Of course Vikingos cruised to a 69-59 relatively comfortable win over Santa ES (#8, 0-10). Despite this victory Vikingos slide down in the standings to 5th position. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But 5-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Guzman is one of the most experienced players at Vikingos and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 11.5ppg (#6). She also registered 13.6 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Marjorie Caicedo (180-PF-90) of Punto R. (#3). Caicedo showcased her all-around game by recording 12 points, eighteen rebounds (!!!) and five assists in the last round. She was a key player of Punto R., leading her team to a 52-40 win against the lower-ranked Viejo W. (#6, 3-7). Punto R. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 4 lost games. Caicedo has a great season in Ecuador. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 11.6ppg (5th best), rebounds with 10.5rpg (7th best) and assists with 2.7apg (7th best).
