Carlos Delgado
Experienced Former international Power forward Carlos Delgado (202-F/C-90) had an amazing evening in the last round for Caballeros and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Liga Desarrollo Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 31-year old power forward had a double-double of 25 points and twelve rebounds, while his team beat Importadora (#5, 4-6) 80-68. Caballeros maintains the 3rd position in Ecuadorian Liga Desarrollo. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Caballeros will need more victories to improve their 6-4 record. In the team's last game Delgado had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Caballeros, through which he has constantly improved. Delgado has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 20.8ppg).
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 31-year old former international Eduard Caicedo (196-C/F-90) of second-ranked PUNTO ROJO LR. Caicedo impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 27 points and 22 rebounds. Bad luck as Punto Rojo lost that game 73-79 to slightly higher-ranked Piratas (#1, 9-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Punto Rojo still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 7-3 record is not bad at all. Caicedo is one of the most experienced players at Punto Rojo and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.7ppg (#1). He also registered 16.1 boards per game.
The third best performed player last round was Abraham Barahona (193-F/C-03) of Importadora (#5). Barahona scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Despite Barahona's great performance Importadora lost 68-80 to slightly higher-ranked Caballeros (#3, 6-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Importadora ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Barahona could help Importadora to bring them higher in the standings. Barahona has a great season in Ecuador. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.4ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 9.2rpg (9th best). He also has 2.3spg, 2.0bpg and FGP: 53.2%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
