26-year old Kelly Hinds (95) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Manabi and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
He had a double-double of 25 points and 15 rebounds, while his team outclassed Triple E-Uda (#4, 1-7) with 31-point margin 108-77. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Manabi maintains the 2nd position in Ecuadorian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Manabi will need more victories to improve their 5-3 record. In the team's last game Hinds had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Manabi's top player in his first season with the team. Hinds has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 13.8ppg) and rebounds (6th best: 7.9rpg).
Second best performed player last round was Darwin Sanz (90) of top-ranked Santa Maria. He is Venezuelan in his first season at Santa Maria. In the last game Sanz recorded impressive 21 points and 6 rebounds. Of course he led Santa Maria to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Guerreros (#3, 2-6) 97-56. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Santa Maria consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. He plays for the best team in the league and Santa Maria managed to win all 8 games keeping a perfect record. Sanz is a newcomer at Santa Maria and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.0ppg (#4). He also registered 5.3 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to Juan Bolanos (C/F-97) of Triple E-Uda (#4). Bolanos scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Despite Bolanos' great performance Triple E-Uda lost 77-108 to #2 ranked Manabi. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Triple E-Uda can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-7 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Bolanos has individually a great season in Ecuador. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 6.8rpg (9th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
