Santa Maria - Manabi 96-90

Santa Maria celebrated National League title. They prevailed against Manabi in the championship game. Santa Maria dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Manabi's 34. They outrebounded Manabi 40-29 including 26 on the defensive glass. Manabi was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Martin Martinez (182-95) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The former international power forward Nixon Mina (205-90) contributed with 22 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Mairon Cuero (190-89) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Vince Toftness (188-97, college: Ecclesia) added 22 points, 8 assists and 6 steals (made all of his nine free throws !!!) in the effort for Manabi. Five Santa Maria and four Manabi players scored in double figures.

Guerros finished third in the League after they outscored Triple E-Uda. Guerreros forced 26 Triple E-Uda turnovers. Center Michael Torres (-2) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Dylan Swoboda (-98) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Guerreros players scored in double figures. Rodrigo Gonzalez (-98) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Milton Romo (-90) added 16 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
