Yassel Farres claims Ecuadorian National League weekly honour

Yassel Farres had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Fuerza M. and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The had the game-high 24 points adding four rebounds and three assists for Fuerza M. in his team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team Nesfebanor (#8, 0-2) with 20-point margin 83-63. Thanks to this victory Fuerza M. moved-up to the 2nd position in Ecuadorian National League. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Fuerza M. won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Farres had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He just recently signed at Fuerza M. and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader. Farres has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 24.0ppg. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 37-year old Dani Duarte (84) of Nesfebanor. Duarte impressed basketball fans with 28 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Nesfebanor lost that game 63-83 to Fuerza M. (1-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Duarte is one of the most experienced players at Nesfebanor and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.5ppg (#2). He also registered 7.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American LaQuincy Rideau (185-G-1996) of top-ranked Punto Rojo. Rideau scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
