Malik Jenkins
33-year old forward Malik Jenkins (201-F-1989) had a very impressive game in the last round for Triple E-Uda and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had the game-high 26 points adding eight rebounds for Triple E-Uda in his team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team Guerreros (#8, 0-5) with 17-point margin 116-99. Triple E-Uda maintains the 3rd position in Ecuadorian league. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Triple E-Uda will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. Jenkins has many years of experience at Triple E-Uda, through which he has constantly improved. Malik Jenkins averages this season 11.7ppg and 6.7rpg. Worth to mention Jenkins played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.
Second best performed player last round was Michael Almeida (1994) of Guerreros. He is a in his first (recently joined) season at Guerreros. In the last game Almeida recorded impressive 26 points and 4 rebounds. Bad luck as Guerreros lost that game 99-116 to the higher-ranked Triple E-Uda (#3, 4-2). Guerreros are still at the very bottom. 5 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Almeida is one of the most experienced players at Guerreros and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to guard LaQuincy Rideau (185-G-1996) of league's second-best Punto Rojo. Rideau showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, seven rebounds and eleven assists (!!!) in the last round. He was a key player of Punto Rojo, leading his team to a 111-43 easy win against the lower-ranked Nesfebanor (#7, 1-5). Punto Rojo needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 2 lost games. Rideau has a great season in Ecuador. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.4apg (best passer).
Other top performing players last week:
4. Abraham Barahona (198-SF-2003) of Punto Rojo - 17 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
