The game between second ranked Santa Maria (8-3) and fourth ranked Club Valle (6-4) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Santa Maria was defeated by Club Valle in a tough game on the road 79-88. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Santa Maria. Venezuelan Darwin Sanz (-1990) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. American forward Luther Page (201-1993, college: Alabama St., agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) chipped in 21 points and 11 rebounds. Venezuelan swingman Emilio Cappare (199-1990) produced 24 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Newly promoted Club Valle maintains fourth place with 6-4 record. Defending champion Santa Maria keeps the second position with three games lost.
Leader Punto Rojo delivered the eleventh victory. This time they crushed 8th ranked Nesfebanor (1-11) 87-51. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Johu Castillo (199-1999) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks. LaQuincy Rideau contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Venezuelan power forward Greiber Cova (201-1993) answered with 15 points and 8 rebounds for Nesfebanor. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Punto Rojo (11-1) have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place. Nesfebanor lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost.
The game in Santo Domingo was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Triple E-Uda (5-6) played at the court of 7th ranked Guerreros (1-10). Triple E-Uda defeated Guerreros 71-61 on Friday. Rodrigo Gonzalez stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Triple E-Uda's coach Santiago Espinoza used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Geovanny Ramon responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 17 rebounds. Triple E-Uda maintains fifth place with 5-6 record. Guerreros lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with ten games lost. Triple E-Uda will meet Fuerza M. (#6) in the next round. Guerreros will have a break next round.

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Nesfebanor (1-11) was crushed at home by third ranked Caballeros (7-1) 92-55 on Saturday. Caballeros dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Nesfebanor's 40. The former international point guard Martin Martinez (182-1995) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals for the winners and the former international power forward Carlos Delgado (202-1990) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. Five Caballeros players scored in double figures. At the losing side Venezuelan power forward Greiber Cova (201-1993) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and Yolvis Granado produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Nesfebanor's coach Rene Sotalin gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Caballeros. Newly promoted Caballeros maintains third place with 7-1 record having 4 victories less than leader Punto Rojo. Nesfebanor lost their seventh game in a row. Nesfebanor at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost.

American forward Luther Page (201-1993, college: Alabama St., agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) stepped up and scored 24 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import James Edmond Jr (205-1991, college: Lincoln, MO) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. Club Valle's coach Daniel Gonzalez felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Rodrigo Gonzalez (-1998) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds and Jose Espinoza (-1987) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Newly promoted Club Valle maintains fourth place with 6-4 record. Triple E-Uda lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with six games lost. Club Valle will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Triple E-Uda will play against Fuerza M. (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
