Manuel Hurtado
Experienced International Power forward Manuel Hurtado (198-PF-1990) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Santa Maria and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 32-year old power forward had the game-high 30 points adding seven rebounds for Santa Maria in his team's victory, helping them to beat Guerreros (#7, 1-10) 84-73. Santa Maria maintains the 2nd position in Ecuadorian National League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Santa Maria will need more victories to improve their 8-3 record. In the team's last game Hurtado had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Santa Maria's top player in his first season with the team. Manuel Hurtado averages this season 13.7ppg and 6.8rpg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Luther Page (201-F-1993, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) of Club Valle. Page impressed basketball fans with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Club Valle to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Triple E-Uda (#5, 5-6) 87-66. Club Valle's 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team's 6-4 record is not bad at all. Page is a newcomer at Club Valle and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.
The third best performed player last round was international guard Martin Martinez (182-PG-1995) of Caballeros (#3). Martinez showcased his all-around game by recording 14 points, six rebounds and ten assists (!!!) in the last round. He was a key player of Caballeros, leading his team to a 92-55 easy win against the lower-ranked Nesfebanor (#8, 1-11). Martinez has a great season in Ecuador. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.0apg (2nd best). He also has 2.1spg and FGP: 57.7%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
