LaQuincy Rideau's triple-double lands him Player of the Week award

American Guard LaQuincy Rideau (185-G-1996) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Punto Rojo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 26-year old player recorded a triple-double of 22 points adding also 13 rebounds and 10 assists, while his team outclassed Triple E-Uda (#5, 5-9) with 55-point margin 108-53. It allowed Punto Rojo to consolidate first place in the Ecuadorian National League. Punto Rojo has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 13-1. In the team's last game Rideau had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Punto Rojo's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of South Florida star has very solid stats this year. Rideau is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 6.2apg) and averages impressive 2.5spg and 55.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Robert Colon (187-G-1999) of league's second-best Caballeros. Colon had a very good evening with 31 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he led Caballeros to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Santa Maria (#4, 8-6) 117-73. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Caballeros consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team belongs to top of the standings with 12-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Colon is a newcomer at Caballeros, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.2ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 5.3rpg and 3.8apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Luther Page (201-F-1993) of Club Valle (#3). Page scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds. He was a key player of Club Valle, leading his team to a 94-80 easy win against the lower-ranked Fuerza M. (#6, 5-9). Page has a very solid season. In 5 games in Ecuador he scored 20.0ppg.
