Robert Colon claims Ecuadorian National League Hoops Agents weekly honour- August 16, 2022
The 23-year old guard had the game-high 32 points adding six assists for Caballeros in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Triple E-Uda (#5, 5-9) with 47-point margin 122-75. Caballeros maintains the 2nd position in Ecuadorian National League. Caballeros has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 12-1. In the team's last game Colon had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Caballeros' top player in his first season with the team. Winston Salem State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Colon is league's best scorer averaging so far 26.2ppg. Colon is in league's top in assists (4th best: 3.8apg) and averages solid 57.0% FGP. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young guard Arath Polanco (G-2003) of Guerreros. Polanco impressed basketball fans with 28 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Guerreros lost that game 72-84 to the higher-ranked Club Valle (#4, 8-6). Guerreros managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. 11 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Guerreros managed to get this year. Polanco is well-known by Guerreros fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.1ppg (#2). He also registered 5.7 boards per game. The third best performed player last round was Santiago Tamariz (1996) of Triple E-Uda (#5). Tamariz scored 24 points and grabbed sixteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Tamariz's great performance Triple E-Uda lost 75-122 to the higher-ranked Caballeros (#2, 12-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Triple E-Uda not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 9 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Tamariz could try to bring Triple E-Uda's a little bit higher in the standings. Tamariz has a very solid season. In 6 games in Ecuador he scored 6.0ppg. He also has 5.7rpg and FGP: 52.4%. Other top performing players last week: 4. Greiber Cova (201-F/C-1993) of Nesfebanor - 24 points and 9 rebounds 5. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
